Mercy Partners is live!  We are at http://www.wearemercypartners.org/ and we're open for business.  We have the relationships in place to make a difference in the lives of thousands of children in Kenya, and we have the passion to do it right.  Congratulations to the leadership team for getting us this far -- now it's time for the rest of our sphere of influence to show the world how we can, collectively, make a difference!

The website is looking better and better in draft form, and I bet we can release it to the World soon!  We have a Facebook page and group (both -- I'm learning as I go here...).  Anne and Joseph have been creating documents related out our non-profit status, and I've been able to review them and offer my 2 cents' worth (that's all it was worth, for sure).  This whole thing is REALLY exciting!  I've not been involved in something as cool as this ever.  Being passionate about something is a great thing, but particularly when there is such potential!

Mercy Partners' website is making amazing progress, but is still in draft form.  Look forward to learning more about compassion, in particular!  Consider this teaser written by our Founder, Anne Frana: "Compassion is a misunderstood word today. It seems that our culture defines compassion as doing good for those less fortunate, who are victims of fire, flood, earthquake, landslide, tsunami or some other uncontrollable event of nature. I am sure all this is involved with helping in cataclysmic need. But compassion is not always about big events, it is more personal than that."

That's what Mercy Partners will be all about -- creating a personal relationship that benefits BOTH sides.  There is so much we "overprivileged" folks can learn from the incredibly resourceful and smart folks who just don't have the resources to use their God-given strengths. The inequality in our world hurts us all.  And if you don't believe me, check out The Spirit Level: Why Greater Equality Makes Societies Stronger.  There are even equations there, and math doesn't lie :)

I'm very excited about Mercy Partners!  This is the organization started by Anne and Joseph Frana, and is designed to support the next generation of African leaders by providing students with optimal nutritional and medical care.  It's a huge goal, but in God, all things are possible.  Stay tuned as we develop a website to detail the organization.  I'll muse about the path Mercy Partners takes -- hopefully, the straight and narrow right to a REAL impact!
